Harper - NOT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION YET
AROO’s Harper came into rescue with a fractured femur. Unfortunately, the casting was not an option for this type of fracture and surgery was the only option for her. She went right into surgery, her bone was realigned and then a pin was placed through the femur to hold everything together as the fracture sets and heals. We have word that the surgery has gone well and although a bit of a rocky wake up she is medicated and sleeping for now.
The surgery although a major part of the efforts is just the first step for Harper. She still has a long road of recovery ahead of her. She has many days of antibiotics and pain medication, lots of rest (which everyone loves with a young Aussie-not). There are some follow-up appointments and x-rays over the next couple months and then rehab.
Thank You all for your wonderful healing thoughts for Harper. Please, keep them coming.
PLEASE consider donating to AROO either by putting money on her medical bill directly VCA Canada Bells Corners Animal Hospital or by making a donation at www.AROO.ca
WE WILL NOT BE ANSWERING INQUIRIES UNTIL WE KNOW MORE ABOUT HER AND SHE IS LISTED FOR ADOPTION.
